LR-Smallholder Tree Crop Project działa w Liberia.
The objective of the Smallholder Tree Crop Revitalization Support Project for Liberia is to increase poor tree crop farmers' income opportunities by rehabilitating unproductive farms and supporting tree crop replanting and new planting and by supporting preparation activities toward the future development of the tree crop sector and effective smallholder participation. The changes include: (i) the management of the Long Term (LT) Credit of the project by the Ministry of Finance and its administration through a delegated agent rather than the Central Bank of Liberia; (ii) a revision of the on-lending of the LT Credit to the Participating Financial Institutions (PFIs), from its present design of transfer of IDA funds through Central Bank of Liberia (CBL) to an on-lending through the Ministry of Finance (MoF); and (iii) a flexibility in the choice of Concessionaires, Farmers Organization and target Counties for the implementation of the pilot projects for Rubber and Oil Palm revitalization. A request for the restructuring and change of LT credit option was received from Government of Liberia (GoL) on January 14, 2014.
